anonymous: tis true i went over some tags. its something i avoid doing, especially in LA, but it seems that it happens regardless in NY and the impression i got was that people didnt care as much. all the graff friendly walls have layers and layers of pieces on them, it seems like yard rules. "when in rome" i figured. the other thing is i just love the way my rootdown poster looks with a lot of noise behind it. i know this can piss some taggers off, and i certianly want to avoid that, but shit i've been gone over and ripped down a hell of a lot more than i've gone over others. when you put work out on the streets you are giving it to the city to decide its fate. i'll never get mad at someone buffing or ripping down my poster cause thats just how it is. and shitty marker tags are bound to be covered eventually.
